The Rethink Materials collective was invited to give a lecture on inventory as a basis for successful circular building as part of the guest professorship by Barbara Buser at ETH. We explored the question of how a proper inventory takes place so that the potential of the building parts to be reused can be identified. Afterwards, the theoretical knowledge was applied by means of an inventory exercise and evaluated in the plenary.
Over 20 motivated students learn during one semester the interdependencies in the design process with reused components.
It was a fruitful exchange and we are pleased that the students were enthusiastic about circular building!
